Alexa! Optimize My Website! @ Launch Workplaces - Gaithersburg
Jun 27 @ 9:00 am – 10:15 am

Voice search is the latest trend to hit the internet and if you are not prepared your business could suffer.

In 2016, Google told us that 20% of mobile searchers use voice search, and some analyst are predicting by 2020 more than 50% of ALL internet searches will be made through voice-activated technology such as Siri, Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home.

Does this mean that websites are going away? Nope. Voice assistants still need to pull the information from somewhere so your website may not be visited by humans as much, but it does need to be accessible to machines.

What is changing and will there be an even greater emphasis on search engine optimization and ensuring your information in the one “snippet” the voice assistant chooses to share.

Join us for breakfast and a discussion on this new technology to learn:

  • How voice search is being used today
  • Who is using voice search
  • How does voice search impact small business and B2B organizations
  • How to prepare your site for voice search

This event is free. Kindly RSVP as a light breakfast will be provided. Parking is free at the Rio in the garage adjacent to the office building.

Presented by digital strategist Nicole Krug from Social Light.Social Light is a digital marketing agency with a simple goal: to empower small business owners with the support and training they need to create a strong online presence. They specialize in brand strategy bringing fresh ideas for growth balanced with industry best practices.

Sales for Non Sales Professionals @ Launch Workplaces - Gaithersburg
Jul 11 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Not born a true salesman? Many people are not naturally wired for sales, but it’s an important skill to have. During this session, special guest Robert Brandau, a long-time salesperson, sales coach and sales recruiter, will teach you how to use research, questions and listening to encourage people to buy from you rather than you trying to “sell” to them. He will make you laugh as we talk about preventing objections from potential buyers. You should leave this seminar feeling good about your ability to encourage people to buy.

Currently, Robert Brandau serves as Founding Director of Career-Confidence.org a non-profit which provides FREE job search education to motivated job seekers. He is also a Board Member of the High Tech Prayer Breakfast and past President of Increasing Revenue, Inc. Robert earned a Bachelor’s degree from Sewanee- the University of the South and an MBA from American University.

This event is held in conjunction with the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce SOHO group.
