Launch Workplaces Bethesda is excited to showcase the work of eight accomplished local women painters in Launch Art, the opening exhibit in its new art gallery. There will be an opening reception for the public with the artists on Thursday, September 20 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Launch Workplaces Bethesda, 4701 Sangamore Road, Suite 100 N, Bethesda, Maryland.
The artists in the show are Lina Alattar, Nicole Bourgea, Lauren Chelec Cafritz, Sharapat Kessler, Micheline Klagsbrun, Hallie Sherard Kuller, Isabel Manalo, and Debra Perkins. They each have a distinct approach to expressing emotions such as passion, strength, and joy by creating layers and depth through the innovative use of colors, shapes, and textures. Their paintings are diverse, vibrant, and uplifting.
The artists’ work has been shown in galleries in the Washington, D.C. metro area as well as numerous curated art exhibits. Their paintings are owned by collectors and art lovers. Each artist is very committed to the community, and will donate a percentage of all art sales from the show to the Glen Echo Fire Department Foundation.*
Launch Workplaces Bethesda opened in August at The Shops at Sumner Place as part of a network of collaborative workspaces, providing a beautiful office environment for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and innovation-focused teams. Its commitment to the local area is strong, including its decision to create an art gallery to display the work of local artists. Exhibits will change every few months and can be enjoyed by the public during weekday business hours.
