Launch Workplaces is please to announce that this holiday season, Launch Workplaces will be hosting a collection drive for the local charity, Comfort Cases now through January 10, 2019. Comfort Cases provides foster children with items necessary to transition into a foster home such as a duffle bag for their clothes, personal care items, and a backpack with comfort items. The director of this charity has written a book about his experiences with the foster system and he has been on TV shows such as Ellen. Check out https://www.comfortcases.org/ for more info.
The charity has specific needs for items that we will be collecting for them this holiday season. They are:
- backpacks
- fleece blankets
- stuffed animals that fit in a backpack
- pajamas/sleep pants for 12-18 year olds
The items must be new with tags where possible. Some of the kids have never had anything new, so ripping a tag off is part of the experience the charity wishes to provide. Most of those items can be bought from Five Below, Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart. Please avoid holiday-themed prints since we are donating these items after the holidays.
A donation box can be found in the lobby. We hope to make 2020 a little brighter for the children being served by Comfort Cases!
