As the Director of Operations for Bin Bath, Sunny Rebello has over 2 decades of experience building, growing, and managing teams.
Bin Bath disinfects and deodorizes residential trash and recycling bins curbside on the same day as your normal pick-up day. The company’s eco-friendly, state-of-the-art trucks have been specifically manufactured with overhead power washers that use biodegradable degreasers and deodorizers to clean trash bins before collecting the wastewater and properly disposing of it at a treatment plant or sanitary dump station.
We wanted to learn more about Sunny, his interests, and his professional insights, so we asked him ten questions about what’s most essential in his life.
1. What’s the best lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?
Have it in writing! Many obligations and promises can be verbal, but they don’t really exist unless it’s signed.
2. What’s the top realization you’ve had since being in business?
You are never really alone. There are many referral partners–even competitors–who are willing to lend a hand or off advice to help you grow. So, don’t put up walls or burn bridges.
3. What’s the best bit of wisdom to offer to up-and-coming professionals?
Constantly increase your education. Even if you feel that you’ve mastered a section, there is always more to learn.
4. What’s the best advice you’ve been given, personally or professionally?
Always be honest! You never forget the truth.
5. What piece of advice would you give out to people chasing their dream?
Don’t be afraid to share your passion. You will be surprised to find so many people willing to help you reach your goal, and you can also cut out the ones who are holding you back.
6. What’s your favorite book?
People Can’t Drive You Crazy If You Don’t Give Them the Keys by Mike Bechtle.
This is a great book that teaches you how your actions and reactions to different personality types can make or break your day.
The main focus is on how your perception can differ from someone else’s but having empathy can make it so much easier to compromise when conflicts arise.

7. What’s your favorite Instagram account?
Henry Park is a self-made millionaire and a previous employer of mine. He is a world traveler, investor, and foodie.
I always like seeing his inspirational quotes, his time shared with his family, and where in the world he is today.
8. What’s one thing you do for your health every day?
Walk the grounds of Crocker Park after lunch. We usually do this together as a team, socialize, and generally keep the conversations non-work related.
This helps with lowering stress, burning some calories, and getting to know each other more personally.
9. What’s one quick tip you’d offer to make meetings more engaging?
Instead of a lecture, have each individual responsible for a portion of the meeting. It creates ownership in everyone’s roles and holds everyone accountable.
10. How did you end up at Launch Workplaces?
Through Bin Bath’s business relations, we have four office spaces at Launch in Crocker Park. It’s great that we can utilize the meeting rooms when we collaborate or meet with our vendors. And the convenience of being in an area that gives us so many options for lunch and still time to walk it off during a break keeps us engaged, energized, and focused throughout the day.
