Wednesday, November 9th, Launch Workplaces sponsored its first Member Showcase & Happy Hour, giving five mem bers an opportunity to give a quick 15 minute presentation on their business. It was wonderful to hear these start-up entrepreneurs sharing in their passion for their work and watch as connections were being made among members and guests. The agenda featured Launch Workplace members Presidential Exteriors, GSP Financial, Upmake, Sherman Wealth Management and Health Solutions Research.
These business owners shared their successes, but also admitted some challenges –namely mistakes they made by not going after a targeted customer market; finding qualified sales people; and building a sustainable company versus a lifestyle business. Several also mentioned how important Launch Workplaces was in making them look good to customers, an important feature when you are just starting out.
Launch Workplaces is proud to be part of our local communities, and as such, the happy hour featured food from Mezeh , a locally owned Mediterranean restaurant in Crown Farm.
