New Jersey-based On Campus Marketing Opens Branch in Launch Gaithersburg
If you have children in college, chances are you have received a mailer at home offering campus supplies such as bed linens and dorm decorations for your child’s school. The company that provides such services, On Campus Marketing (OCM), has a branch in Launch Workplaces’ Gaithersburg office.
We are pleased to introduce you to Patrick Hall, OCM’s IT Operations Manager. He, along with colleagues Shomari Ellis and Steven Dilley recently moved in and now occupy a bright corner office where they work on OCM’s IT strategy, business administration and financial systems. “Working at Launch has been great so far,” says Patrick. “The location and facility are perfect for us.”
On Campus Marketing, founded in 1981, is headquartered in New Jersey and provides white label products and services to 1000 colleges and universities and 3,000,000 students and their families. From moving into the dorm as a freshman to graduating hopefully four years later as a senior, OCM has something for everyone–think dorm sheets (size twin XL of course), decorative pillows with clever quotes, fan gear, finals and holiday care packages, and diploma frames, among other items. All of their products are guaranteed to survive all of the students’ college years.
Patrick Hall, a native Marylander, started with the company entering orders part-time while he was still in high school. Upon graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in journalism he joined the firm full time working in the phone center as a customer service representative. Realizing he had a knack for technology, OCM created a new role for him as a systems administrator and today he is responsible for integration projects and determining the company’s IT strategy and direction. Sounds like we can safely assume he has that valuable combination of technology and communication skills!
In Patrick’s spare time, chances are he is on the links enjoying his favorite pastime – golf. He tries to play at least twice a week and his favorite spots are Maryland National and Whiskey Creek. His favorite player is Phil Mickelson – a fellow lefty.
